You can exchange your purchase within 15 days, provided it’s unused and accompanied by the original bill and certificate. If you’re looking to return a piece after 30 days, our Buy-Back policy ensures you receive value based on current market rates—deducting only minimal charges. Gold is assessed at prevailing rates, while diamonds and gemstones are re-evaluated based on their quality. Please note, custom pieces, taxes, and making charges may not be eligible for refund. EXCHANGE POLICY
1. The C. Krishniah Chetty Group offers a Lifetime Exchange Policy for general products.
2. The C. Krishniah Chetty Group has a legacy of over 155 years. A great deal of merchandise has been sold/exchanged/bought back by our patrons over the decades. We offer a Lifetime Exchange/Upgrade Policy on all gold, platinum, diamonds & silver purchases made from C. Krishniah Chetty Group, within India. If the product, along with diamonds and gemstones, if any, is intact, you may return it for the current value of gold, platinum, diamonds & silver. There is no value given for gemstones in normal course. This means your product's current value of gold, diamonds, silver, platinum will be determined based on product specifications and the current selling price of similar goods/quality grades/purities at C. Krishniah Chetty Group. Essentially, you will receive the same value for the goods as if you were buying on the date of your exchange, for the value of gold, silver, platinum and diamonds. Labour or making charges, other gemstones, other materials used, if any, wastage charges, taxes, duties, packing, shipping & forwarding costs, if paid separately, will not be accounted for in exchange value. Note: If you had received a discount or a free gift while making your purchase, we will deduct the original discount amount or free gift value, whichever applicable, if the exchange is within 365 days from the date of purchase. If the exchange is over 365 days from the date of purchase, the free gift value will not be deducted.
3. You will be given a Gift Voucher with a unique number for this exchange value which remains valid for 12 months and can be used for future purchases from C. Krishniah Chetty Group. Please note that this voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
4. We offer the Lifetime Exchange Policy on orders within India and only in Indian currency.
5. C. Krishniah Chetty Group at times offers exceptional gemstones of high value. Such expensive, rare and high-value gemstone/goods will be exchanged or offered for buyback on a case-to-case basis and may not fall under the general lifetime exchange/buyback policy.
6. The C. Krishniah Chetty Group has a legacy of over 155 years. A great deal of merchandise has been sold/exchanged/bought back by our patrons over the decades. Hence, our buyback policies are based on the exact nature of the products. Please contact us by email ecomm@ckcjewellers.com along with photographs and any description of the product that you can provide, and we will provide you our buyback price. If we wish to physically view the products, we will intimate you accordingly. Generally speaking, products that are 1 to 5 years old will be valued for buyback based on current prices of similar quality/grade/purity, condition less a purchase commission. Older products will need independent assessment on a product-by-product basis.
